Sewing Fashion Camp
Beginner (ages 8-16)
Full Day camp Mon-Fri 9:30 - 3:30, Half day camp Mon-Fri 12:30 - 3:30
In our beginner camps we start by learning the basics of the sewing machine, and then learning how to pin and sew seam allowances with pressing lessons. We learn many of the lessons while making a designer accessory. Then we move on to learn about fabrics and proper layout and the cutting rules (which is the foundation of any well made garment). On day 3 we start into our skirts, an easy A-line elastic cased skirt. On Day 5 if the campers are done with their lessons we have a free day of sewing!
We have all the fabric and notions we will need here at the studio. We have plenty of machines at the studio, we use the Brother xl2600. Campers are welcome to bring in their own machines to learn on it, just don't forget the foot pedal!
The girls have a great time creating things with fabrics now that they know the basics of sewing!
In our full day fashion camps we learn all about fashion design and the techniques a designer uses to create designs in an easy way.
We have great techniques to get beautiful fashion sketches thru templates so sketching is easy and fun. We learn about basic fashion styles, learn about color and color themes and we build mood boards and inspiration files to learn how designers keep coming up with new ideas season after season. A very full week!!

$365, includes all the fabrics and materials we will need for the week. Tote bag, sketching materials, snacks and drinks too.
(we have lunch next door at Pie in the Sky Pizza, you can bring a sack lunch or money to order lunch)

but can be credited for another class up to 1 year.

$245, includes all the fabrics and materials we will need for the week. includes totebag, snacks and drinks too. The option to add on fashion design is available at $30 day.
