Learning to Sew! beginner sewing classes
Ages 8 to Adult, Limited to 8 students
Sewing 101 is our foundation class, exploring the basics of sewing while learning to make a simple skirt and accessories.
Learn the sewing skills you will need if you want to sew simple curtains and pillows too!
We will learn to use a basic sewing machine, how to properly thread it, how to use patterns, correct pattern layout, marking and cutting, measurements and the importance of fabric grainlines that are crucial for your sewing success.
Each week we will focus on a new sewing technique like seam allowances, elastic casings, pressing and hems.
We have Brother sewing machines to use in class and you are welcomed to bring your own as long as it is in good working order.
We serve the Mooresville, NC area and have students as far away as Winston-Salem, Rock Hill Sc, Charlotte NC, Denver, ...!
