In fashion all her life, she worked in the Los Angeles garment district then as a fashion designer owning her own design studio in Pacific Palisades where she dressed the Hollywood crowd for their special events. She especially loved designing for Soap Opera Stars for the Daytime Emmys and their personal appearances. She also designed and make custom wedding gownsl She then moved into Costume Designing for feature films in the the mid ninetys, having done 31 films to date. and is still working in the field. She now lives in NC and travels freguently to LA to keep up with the film industry. Wanting to work with kids she opened FFD to foster the next generation of Fashion Designers!
Kelsea has just moved to the area from Connecticut. She is a senior at University of Delaware in the Apparel Design program. Kelsea is one of our summer camp leaders and loves to share all the new things she is learning in her design classes and our little designers just love learning from her. Kelsea will be helping out whenever she is here from her school breaks as well.
Jessica Hagen
Jessica is a recent graduate from UNCC, where she excelled in the Costume Program with a Bachelors degree. She loves costumes and the history of clothes, taking on sewing commissions to help others with their design ideas. She is involved with many cosplay groups and speaks on panels about all degrees of costumes. On the side Jessica has developed a drama program with some of our local charter schools.
Nancie Cobb
Nancie owns her own childrens line of clothes "Little H.C. Designs" and has an alteration and dressmaking business. She is quite the seamstress! She loves to design and make pagent dresses and others childrens wear. And is an expert with many sewing techniques including amazing embroidery work. She has 5 children and is passing her talents down to atleast 1 of them, Hannah who comes in to help us too. She is 15 and has a huge talent with sewing and working with the kids.
Haley has taken many sewing classes and loves helping the kids in fashion club. She is a student at Lake Norman High and we get her when her volleyball schedule allows!

Amourette McDonough
Amourette steps in to help with fashion club and other kids programs and special events. She loves to sew and loves to work with the kids. She is a fun and energetic spirit!
Shawn is new with us, he just moved here from Asheville, NC where he was a hair dresser and developed his own line of unique clothing called Sunbird Hawk designs. He has a unique designer eyes and is very talented with re-designing and upcycling. His designs are sold nationwide and internationally.
He is great with the kids and a very patient sewing instructor.
